MARITIME RESPONSE SQUADRON

Extending crisis and emergency response beyond the shores, our Maritime Response Squadron (MRS) postures to serve Floridians through navigating over 71,324 miles of Florida’s near-shore, off-shore, and inland waters.

Expanding to a maximum capacity of 200 Soldiers, our maritime capabilities include:

search and rescue

Searching for and rescuing individuals who are in distress or imminent danger, increasing service and support to communities with reduced accessibility through maritime transport.

security operations

Protecting our waterways from threats to public safety.

waterway reconnaissance and assessment

Surveying bodies of water impacted by a public safety event.

humanitarian assistance and disaster relief

Supporting impacted communities through the distribution of critical resources and rendering basic lifesaving and sustaining first-aid to survivors of public safety events.
